Overview

I served as Director of Photography for this narrative short, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival. We utilized a shifting visual language to define the film’s two distinct timelines. The first half was captured in a 4:3 aspect ratio to evoke a nostalgic glimpse into the past, while the second half transitioned into a contemporary 16:9 frame to represent the future. This two day production allowed us to experiment with evolving set design and distinct lighting palettes for each era.
